“It shows all that an innocent dog can go through living as a stray and inspires us to give a second chance to a humble, loving and loyal creature as the dog is. funny and interesting but heartbreaking at the same time from the moment you begin to read it to the last word.”

Mariel L., Internet.

“Dr. Dave is more than an excellent writer, he is an extraordinary pet doctor and not only that, a good person and nice guy :).”

Daniel Valenzuela, Internet.
“This was an awesome book. If you like to laugh and love animals this is the series of books for you. You will also be sad sometimes but the writing is great.
Mary A. Singletary,

“I only wish Dr. Dave was in Kansas so that he could tend my animals! I could hardly put this book down…the way Perrin describes his highs and lows shows he isn’t afraid to admit he is human, which made me wish he had written even more books about his practice! What a GREAT book!

Stephanie B.,

“All of Dr. Dave’s books are great, especially for those readers who love all animals. I learned a lot about cows, horses, pigs and various farm animals as well as pet dogs, cats, birds and occasional exotic species. I also learned what a good, kind, caring and ethical man Dr. Dave is. And hysterically funny, too!. I’ve read all five books and hope he writes many more!!.

Monica A. Patton,

“Enjoyed, enjoyed, enjoyed………..wonderful! I enjoy Doris and Shirley, Gordon and all the clients the funny the crazy and the sad.

Shirley Potter,

“I happened to read this book first, even though it is actually the fourth in the series. Very entertaining, lots of humour, lots of detail about practicing as a vet out in the country, and lots of detail about various characters he meets along the way. I so enjoyed this book that I then got all the rest that he has written. I’ve finished one further book so far and can highly recommend the series!

Mikey B.,

“Dr. Perrin’s style of writing makes me wish I could become a vet! I have read so many books about veterinary practices; some of these I couldn’t wait to finish so that I could get rid of them…UCK! Dr. Dave’s books rank right up there with James Herriot’s books. His style of writing makes me feel I am right beside him in his adventures. What an amazing man!

Stephanie B.,

“The way Dave Perrin writes, it makes you feel like you are right there and are part of the scene. I loved it and had it read in a few days!

Pamela L. Carr,

“The people and the pets and animals in this book are very real, very interesting and sometimes funny. I enjoy this series of books very much.

Mary A. Singletary,

“An honest and vivid insight into Dave Perrin’s life as a VET in Canada. It is humorous but also very REAL!. There is no sugar coating in this book but just a great reading adventure.

S. Robin Yale,

“I liked seeing the progression of Perrin’s practice and the characters (both animal and human) encountered. I can understand facing personal demons and admire his willingness to share the process with his readers.”

Kim F.,

“Being a vet in small town British Columbia, Dave Perrin sees a lot, and has many tales to share with readers. The anecdotes in this book range from humorous stories of failed horse breedings and buying farmland to more emotional ones involving very sick pets. There is something here for everyone, as Dr. Perrin has a mixed practice dealing with both large and small animals. Recommended for animal lovers!”

P. Newhart,

“Terrific book. Couldn’t put it down once I started reading it. I used to live in Kimberley and we drove through Creston at least once a month in the 60’s and 70’s. Dr Perrin must have been working there then. I will be certainly purchasing the rest of his books.

Joan Burke,

“Another great book in this series of books by Dr. Dave Perrin. A must read for animal lovers. Terrific stories. Read it in two days.

William J. Collinson,

“Okay, first I want you to know that you are the one and only author whose eBooks I have bought for $9.99!  The first one I bought in a weak moment, because I read the reviews, loved the covers, and just was tempted.  But after I started reading I went back and got all five books – all for $9.99! Please, do not stop now!!!  I need to know what happened next!”

Shirley Davis, Internet.

“[In Keep Sweet] Palmer and Perrin offer the first, brave look inside the polygamous community of Bountiful, B.C. It’s the story of a little girl lost – betrayed by a faith so foreign it seems inconceivable that it still flourishes in the North American countryside.”

Ken MacQueen, MacLeans.

“Perrin tells a good story…the doctor’s compassion for animals and admiration for people who treat them with respect and dignity underscores each of these stories.”

Mark Forsythe, BC Bookworld Magazine.
